Complaint Procedure
The Lawrence Township Zoning Department will accept zoning complaints for zoning
violations or nuisance conditions which affect public health and/or safety.
After receiving the complaint, the zoning department will investigate the complaint
and take appropriate action if an infraction is found. The zoning staff will contact
complainants regarding the conditions found and intended course of action following
initial investigation of the complaint.

Section 1002.1 — Violations
In case any building is or is proposed to be located, erected, constructed,
reconstructed, enlarged, changed, maintained, or used or any land is or is proposed to
be used in violation of any provisions of this Resolution or supplements or amendments
thereto, the Board of Township Trustees, the Prosecuting Attorney of the county, the
Township Zoning Inspector, or any adjacent or neighboring property owner who would be
especially damaged by such violation, in addition to other remedies provided by law,
may institute injunction, mandamus, abatement, or any other appropriate action or
proceeding to prevent, enjoin, abate, or remove such unlawful location, erection,
construction, reconstruction, enlargement, change, maintenance, or use.
